This is not a conference. This is an intervention.

BeyondFest is the flagship gathering of The Beyond, a community of Rebelpreneurs moving from freelance work to a business worth selling. No corporate decks. No lame networking. No death by slides. Three rules we enforce, which is exactly why the room stays awake all day.

This year's theme is System and Soul. The System is the framework, the tactic, the repeatable how. The Soul is the human truth underneath it that makes anyone care. A talk that carries only one of the two gets a polite thank you, goodbye.

// The Beyond

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let's create something meaningful together.

Experience

Eight formats

Every hour of the day runs on one of these. No keynote marathons, no panel that forgets it has an audience.

01 //

Vintage stage microphone lit magenta in front of a BeyondFest backdrop

Knowledge Share

A tight talk with one system and one soul. Take the framework home and use it on Monday.

02 //

Retro collage of a cassette walkman and orange headphones branded BeyondFest

Eavesdrop Session

Two founders talk like nobody is listening. You are listening. That is the format.

03 //

Retro beige computer with BeyondFest on a green CRT screen, floppy disks floating around it

Unconference

The agenda is set in the room, by the room. Bring the problem you actually have.

04 //

Punk collage of a boombox surrounded by megaphones and halftone shapes, branded BeyondFest

Pitch Fight

Pitch, get hit, adjust, pitch again. Feedback loud enough to be useful.

05 //

Chrome vintage microphone on a BeyondFest plinth, lightning cracking across a purple nebula behind it

Lightning Rant

Audience volunteers rant about something to get it off their chest, and either win or lose the room.

06 //

A rocket broken into its parts inside a lit glass display case, nose cone, engine bell, circuit boards and floppy disks frozen mid-air

Startup Fxckups

Operators and builders spill the tea on their biggest boo boo failure, not just the glitz and glam of success.

07 //

Neon claw machine with DESTINY DRAW lit above the glass, full of glowing spheres, branded BeyondFest

Destiny Draw

You showed up with your energy, so the universe rewards you with prizes to elevate your journey.

08 //

Neon eighties still life: camcorder, cassette, digital watch and pink telephone around a floppy disk branded BeyondFest

Energy Boosters

Short, physical, slightly ridiculous. The reason the room is still sharp at 4pm.

Venue

Greybox GMBB, Kuala Lumpur. A raw white-brick room on Jalan Robertson, rigged for one long day and one loud night.

The Grey Box main hall, a long concrete room under a spiral of filament bulbs

Where to stay

Five beds within walking distance of the room, cheapest walk first. Book direct with the hotel. Distances are straight line from GMBB, so the walk is a little longer than the number.

  • 130 m

Grand Mercure Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang

117 Jalan Pudu. The shortest walk on this list by some distance, near enough that going back to your room between sessions is a real option. Upscale rooms and a pillarless ballroom, sitting where Bukit Bintang runs into Chinatown. Walking route

  • 190 m

    citizenM Kuala Lumpur

128 Jalan Pudu. A two minute walk and the easiest morning of the five. Small rooms, big lobby, the kind of place you can work from at 7am. Walking route

  • 640 m

    Berjaya Times Square Hotel

1 Jalan Imbi. Sits on top of the mall and on the Imbi monorail, so it is the simplest arrival if you are coming in from KL Sentral or the airport bus. Biggest room count on this list, which matters if you book late. Walking route

  • 810 m

    WOLO Kuala Lumpur

Corner of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail. Design led, right on the Bukit Bintang strip, and a two minute walk from Jalan Alor if the afterparty is not enough. Walking route

  • 1.1 km

    JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur

183 Jalan Bukit Bintang. The one to book if you are bringing a client, or if you want the day to end in a proper bath. Furthest on the list and still a walk, not a ride. Walking route

No BeyondFest rate is attached to any of these yet. Book the public rate, and if a group rate lands before November we will tell you in time to rebook.
